Most of the hike is deep in the thick birch and fir forest, but it occasionally crosses a modern dirt road, and passes by some farms and cabins.
I was going to make some kind of loop out of this hike, but when I got to the far end of it, the skies opened up and rain began to fall fiercely. Instead of exploring new trails without a good map and not exactly sure where I would end up, I decided to head back exactly the way I came. The rain had soaked the plentiful grasses along the trail, and despite my waterproof footwear, my feet ended up getting soaked.
I had a rain jacket and hat, but not pants, so my lower body was pretty wet by the time I got back to the trailhead, which is also about the time it stopped raining. So it goes in southern Norway. |
