| partners | | I bought a kayak about two months ago, and finally had a day in town to put it on the water. FOTG has had a kayak in his garage for a few years, so I broke into his house and stole it. The back window is easy to pry open.
Since 9L has a 100-mile hiking limit before things start to fall apart, I figured he could handle some kayaking during his recovery.
We started at the marina and went out to the coves and Bagley Flat before returning, fighting a pretty good headwind. We stopped to watch the jumpers in both directions. I used to jump here under a full moon every summer, but it's been a few years. I never did the 40-footer though. I don't enjoy the hangtime that much.
Re-reminded myself that sitting in a kayak exposes arms and legs to the sun much more than hiking does. I'll have to put one more application of the SPF next time.
The water was warm, but still refreshing and we stopped to swim a few times along the way. |
