The weather was top-10 perfect, the open seas were nearly as smooth as glass and the wind totally calm. The glacially formed granite islands are always fun to explore by boat, and even more so by kayak. We tethered my tent in case of some wind, and plowed through 5 lbs of fresh shrimp for dinner. Another short kayak after dinner and then off to sleep.
I woke up to so some pretty good views. Tough to beat a spot like this! The morning sun brought with it some stronger wind and some light chop on the ocean, but getting back to town was no problem with our 16-foot kayaks. We enjoyed a quick swim with his wife and daughter before a quick lunch back at the house and off to the next stop on my trip!
This was one of the highlights though! |
