Started from the Hatchery Trail Head, up Babe Haught Trail, across the rim on the General Crook Trail and the rim road, down Horton Springs Trail, then back to the trail head on the Highline Trail. The Horton Springs Trail was fairly steep, and had some washed out and over grow areas near the middle of the trail but nothing real bad. Saw one large deer on top of the rim. Saw no other hikers, only a group of horse riders on the Highline Trail. It started to drizzle during the last half mile or so but the heavy rain started once we hit the 260. This was a great loop hike |
