| no partners | | Took an alternate vehicle to avoid identification from the local nutjobs and headed up the east slope before dawn. Searched both summits and finally found the elusive register right where it should be, buried within the summit cairn, but noticed that the background seen in Desertboonies photo does not match the area of the actual summit.  
Came across three rattlers, each blending in and not rattling upon approach - temps were in the 80's but no direct sun yet. I assume they were not warmed up yet, but I easily could have stepped on any of them and it was a little disconcerting. |
