Tortilla Trail-Power Garden-Rattlesnake Canyon--Corral Canyon--East Divide out.

Where is burned low key is pretty with grass and flowers. Other places are moonscapes. All the washes and canyons I crossed are showing black silty flows. If traveling in here bring your water, most water is chocolate brown right now and Power Spring MIGHT be silted in and Corral spring is dry and that is with me climbing the pour off and going up canyon. Water in there is mostly from run off from storms.
Most of the trails are ok to follow but erosion is happening and in places in Corral canyon the trail is gone. Off the saddle near Kennedy peak quite a few downed trees and this side of the range is very bad with scorched rocks and torched pines and oaks.

A few notes from an email I sent --

"
Mud Spring---looked good and area hardly touched with burn,
Upper Sycamore canyon looks pretty bad and the trail in there is eroding badly in spots.
When you top over to go down to Horse canyon the burn stopped there so is normal.
Some burn in Horse canyon, so the natural water tanks are all brown and lots of blackish silt.
Rattlesnake canyon and Power Garden look fine. The canyon bed is clogged with silt. Right where you cross to go to the spring is a big mud flow, it has raised the level of the creek bed.
Above there the downhill side is burned, probably their work. Then is gets ok except for the mud and debris flows. One canyon up is nuked and spewing out rock and silt.
Corral canyon is ok in the lower part, however mid canyon the bottom looks ripped out and the trail is non existent and you have to work at it a bit. The burn is on the hill side. At the spring I didn't even recognize it, very brushy. I climbed up the wall but it was dry all the way up.
Upper Corral is hit and miss, the bottom has some burn but the hill sides are nuked. Most places had some flowers and grass if the burn was low key but quite a few sterile spots. Trail not too hard here just in spots. Up near the top where you cross over near Kennedy peak was bad. However just off the saddle the upper part not too bad, then total moonscape on down, with serious erosion already happening. Lots of trees down. Lots of rock exposure and they look scorched. Big pines cooked.
Very depressing------"
