| no partners | | I only took 4 pictures. I took my 91 year old mother on this drive, and she seemed to enjoy it. Fall colors are happening up there but about a week away from peak. The lower maples haven't turned yet but there is some red on the mountain, just not near the road. Some nice isolated Aspen by the road. Bigger gold stands in the little Aspens in the old burn areas. We saw deer x 2 and wild turkeys x 2. Post Creek was roaring, Grant and Moonshine had water flowing. Almost nobody at Riggs Lake. It started lightly raining on us up there and this last storm left water in the bar ditches up top. We brought a picnic lunch and had it up top then started down. I took her back on hwy 266 then on the Ft Grant road to Willcox. She thought the views from the top and the colors when the sun was out were very nice. I am extremely glad I was able to share this with her. |
