This was my first time at Lees Ferry and it did not disappoint. The views from the top of the Spencer Trail were great. With most rafting trips going down the Colorado river starting here, I did seeing some of the them preparing there rafts. I spoke to two groups and one group was going to Diamond creek and the other to Pierce Ferry for 22 days. The remains of the building and mining operations really struck home for me. On the Spencer Boiler there is the name of the company and city/state. That city/state (Erie,PA) is were I lived for 41 years!
After the hike drove to the North rim for the next three days of my trip. |
