I decided to hit Cone Mountain to see some birds and to expand my world, since I've never been to Brown's Ranch. One thing is true; there are a lot of birds here, and I can see why. They have a bird bath, a housing development close by, and an open and healthy desert. New2hyk did a good job keeping the birds near the trail, allowing me to photograph them. :thanx:

But she apparently has no control over the quail, as they were very elusive and impossible to photograph.

Much of the time was spend walking with no bird sighting, and then after I see one bird, I'd see another and sometimes a few. I even saw a flock of lovebirds. They were hard to photograph, but I managed to photograph one.
