| no partners | | | It had been too long since I did anything over a few miles ( the wife likes short trips ) and this looked like a good one to break the dry spell. I did the loop of Cave Creek Trail #4 and Skunk Tank Trail counterclockwise. The first few miles until you get to the Skunk Tank turn off are easy and mostly downhill but it really picks up after that. Saw a couple of Osprey aircraft flying low through the canyon which was definitely cool. I think this trail would be best in the fall when the leaves are turning but it was still a great trail with plenty of shade for the first part and water for the dogs. Only ran into one other person on the whole loop. |
