Above the water... nice bedrock shelves to enjoy, mixed with rocky gravel walking. Then: The Narrows! This section holds three dryfalls creating some blocked off areas... not safe to climb up into... but, we did a small section then reversed and scrambled up a very direct drainage up to the cliff tops... walked the edges checking out the Narrows. then hit the trail for the ascent up to the line cabin, checking the upper section... it turned out to be huge boulders, bedrock and lots of rock hopping.
The potential appears to be to do the first half just like we did... then, at the line cabin, reenter the canyon and descend to the Narrows... rappel the three dryfalls, enjoying the cloistered canyon sections... then...? climb out and finish up on the trail... or just walk out the bottom.
It is not the normal Dog Canyon Day!
