| partners | | Did the last of the waypoints we were assigned by the G&F to visit for now. I had fun plotting a route avoiding cliffs using Google Earth. The terrain was a lot easier but the hiking wasn't if you compare the stats. We decided to have two groups for today so that we could get all the points in one trip. It was a good idea until one group didn't follow the route I gave them and ended up on a cliff band above 4 of the points we had to visit. They had an interesting time anyway. Note to self, explain to people why you plan to go a certain way else they dream up other ideas.
We visited a new peak in the front range I hadn't heard of before and one of my favorites. It's nice to know the bighorns hang out in such awesome spots!
The amazing thing about today is that Joel's accident was 3 months ago. During which he forgot how to walk/balance (on top of breaking 10 bones). As of today, he is pretty much doing the bad pumpkin hiking we always used to do! My hero!  |
