| partners | | This is definitely one of my favorite canyons. Slides, potential keepers, one rappel (others may want to do more depending on conditions), and tomato soup.... What more can you ask for?
We cut a bit off the initial bushwhack, drainage hop. I'll update my mileage once I have a chance to look at my tracklog.
We had an ankle injury in our party of four right before the fun started, so we took the canyon pretty slow.
At the top of the rappel we did, we geared up and I looked down at my belay loop, no ATS! I nearly panicked! I thought about using a Munther then I remembered that I typically carry two rappel devices and I grabbed the Totem out of my backpack! Whew!
We were treated with a Spotted Owl our on exit from the canyon.
The apple tree was bare of apples this year. Geronimo spring was flowing. |
