Realized today that it has been 80 days since my last hike and I really needed to get out again. I followed the creek, and the "trails" that intermittently appear and disappear on either side of it farther than any of my previous excursions. I ended up stopping just short of where Box Springs trail ends at the creek. In my opinion it is actually easier and more scenic to access the pools at Box Springs via this route instead of following Box Springs trail, which is extremely overgrown.
