Fantastic day for a hike. It rained several days this week. It is amazing how the desert soaks up water so fast. There were very few mud holes on the trail. Very few wild flowers in bloom. octillo just starting to bloom. Park at the Peralta TH and once you climb over the first pass and drop down into the valley, it is a very nice hike with great views of the mountains, Miner's Needle and more Saguaro cactus than you could count. I'm always on the lookout for Crested Saguaro cactus, but didn't see any on this trip.
