I stopped by the trail head to see how high the water was in the river. The Flume Trailhead is posted as closed. See the notice on the sign and information board. There is also a copy of the public notice near the road saying the trail is closed as they deconstruct the flume. The water in the river was deeper than I thought it would be. Not a good place to cross in hiking boots!
