This was the first time in a while I felt well enough to do an after work hike. With all the cool pictures coming out of the Phoenix Sonoran preserve, I had to check out the new (new to me) trails on the north side.
I drive through the preserve everyday on my way home from work and on my drive I can see 2 Great Horned Owl nests from my car. I was hoping to see one on my hike today and check out all the cactus flowers. Lots of flowers but no owls :( This trail is beautiful. There are more types of chollas on this tiny loop than anywhere I've ever seen.
Its a cool little loop :) I'll be hiking this a lot
