| no partners | | Unjip, Ross and Mary for this shorter canyon exploratory. Lucky again! Great rock bound ascent up to the saddle that would give easy access to the adjacent Spring Canyon. We went higher, on up to the base of the lower cliffs, and followed the cliff base game trail around into the next canyon.
The two Spring canyons will make an ideal Beginner's plus route later this year.
Naming the north canyon Spring... the south cut: Ash Spring. Old cabin or stable ruins at mouth of Ash... both canyons have ruins of pipework. Both springs still active. Approach is up the old road to mouth of Arrow Canyon. We parked and hiked over from the Oro Vista development, showing Unjip the Indian Wells over there.
