| no partners | | 9 hours of hefty effort. Great ascending canyon... and we did get to the base of the upper cliffs, only to discover a substantial upper canyon section that would access the lower section of the upper Ridge. We'll come back with a shuttle vehicle setup off West Side road... no descent!
Descent was long, but using the Rock Garden Ridge and the cleft down into Spring Canyon made it about as nice as it could be. Spring Canyon is exceptional. Wish it had more ready access from the base. The cross desert hike is good for us, but Beginner hikers would suffer.
Arrow South is pretty much non-stop bouldering. Nothing really hard... just constant... full body.
The upper upper canyon section starts off with a blind left turn and a vertical rock wall... that has just enough faulting to allow us up into the just hyper steep section. It looks good.
New hiker, Mickey, got a harsh intro... likely a bit tired and beat up, but she did great. Ross and I will be going back up and in... that top is too appealing!
Spring in Spring Canyon still flowing!
