| no partners | | We set out on the trail around 10:30 Saturday morning heading up trail #4 in a counter-clockwise fashion. It was a nice warm day, with clear skies. We took our time hiking, taking lots of breaks along the way, as I took my baby with me on this one, as well my 12 year old. A couple others in the group hiked ahead to secure a camp spot we had stayed at and enjoyed last year. Luckily we snagged it! We got to camp early afternoon and spend the afternoon and evening relaxing. Sunday morning it was a little chilly so we took our time packing up camp, not getting on the trail till around 10:00AM. Since we did easy part of the hike Saturday, Sunday's hike took some effort. According To routescout, the total AEG was just over 2000' and I'm pretty sure all but a couple hundred feet of that was the trip out. Hike out was nice enough, nothing spectacular though, and pretty warm. Stopped at Dairy Queen on the way back home. Overall a nice weekend, glad to get out in the sun! |
