We got on the trail Saturday morning around 9:30 and kept a leisurely pace to the springs. I'm 14 weeks pregnant now, and I have to say, I sure don't have the energy I usually do!! The hike itself isn't great, but for a road hike it has it's moments. There were lots of wildflowers along the way and the weather was perfect. We made it to the old dam noon and it was full of people hanging around. We headed back a ways and made camp in gorgeous little clearing. There was one other group there but they left shortly after our arrival. We did a bit of swimming and spent the day relaxing. Sunday morning we headed out taking about 2 hours to make it back to the car. Overall a great little piece of paradise here in AZ. |
