| no partners | | Hiked up the newly created Glassford Summit trail. There was a moment of confusion as to which way to go when leaving the parking lot, but the correct way is to the right once you're on the road above the trail sign. The word "trail" is pretty much a misnomer for this route as it's actually a dirt road all the way to the summit. It's suitable for mountain bikes which are allowed on the route as well. After a gradual grade for the first mile, you hit a series of switchbacks from there to the summit. Each corner of every switchback has a picnic table. There is no water on the entire route. Dogs are allowed on leashes. It took me just under 50 minutes to cover the 2.2 miles, your mileage may vary. |
