Only did part of the trail as I didn't actually get to the trailhead and tell about 5:30 p.m. I was going out mainly to learn about the wildlife and learn about the plants out there. It took everything in me to turn back around 6 p.m. when I noticed the sun starting to dip down. The trail was very nice today with only one other person I saw along the way. He happened to be a member from Planet Fitness where I worked and I was thinking what are the odds of that!

I could hear horse's neighing in the distance as there is the Groom Creek horse camp across the road there. There is also some noise from the road and the little Community but that goes away shortly once you start going further back into the trail.

There's a lot of cut wood from where are the forest Crews have gone out and done controlled burns along the trail. You see them piled up all over for the first mile or so before they start to thin.

After about a mile and a half I came across some power lines and then further up the hill I saw even more of them but it doesn't take away from the scenery. For wildlife there were a few squirrels, two horned lizards I encountered which both graciously posed while I took pictures of them. There are also several different types of birds but I'm still trying to identify.

When I turned back there were some clouds rolling in but nothing too concerning. I took some more pictures along the way and when I got closer to the trailhead I encountered some deer. There was a doe and a couple of young bucks just grazing from some of the bushes. Also near the trailhead is wild Rosemary growing which I thought was pretty cool.
