I could have started much closer to the posted coordinates but I wanted to enjoy the walk along the BCT to start with. Once I was a bit more than a mile from the cache, I left the BCT and sort of went cross country and followed some roads to get near the first stage of the cache. I found the first part but was about to step through some bushes when I noticed a sleeping rattler. The snake was out of it, so I let it sleep while I finished up my search and headed off to the final. I followed more roads and more cross country and ended up on top of another pointy hill where I was the first finder of the cache. Back down the hill and followed a road that connected back to the BCT where continued back to the trailhead. Great day for a walk in the desert. |
