Took my dad up on this small hike. It's a very easy access hike and the hike itself is very easy unless you want to venture off into the canyon. The mining area was fantastic...we did the same thing as the author of this hike and compared old pictures with what is left. You can tell something huge was here at one time and the operations had to have been impressive. We really enjoyed ourselves because we just constantly found more and more things to look at. Whether it was glyphs, ruins, shards and just plain old history we were happy campers! I live close by here so I can't wait to check out some other hidden gems here. I have a feeling there are a couple more ruins in this area.

Edit: From Google Earth if you look just to the south there is a very large dwelling listed as Perry Tank Ruins. Impressive from the satellite view but in person its seen its share of looting and time damage.

Couldn't believe there was water flowing down there! It made the trip more enjoyable!
