Day 2 of our 1205 mile road trip in, Bullit, our new overland vehicle started with breakfast in camp at Marble Overlook. This was planned an easy day. We lingered around Marble Overlook taking in the views and then drove south to GCNP and took a left to the Cape Final TH. The change in elevation from Phoenix to here was pretty obvious in the early gentle uphill grade of the trail. We took it slow. The cool temperatures were welcome and the rain stayed away.

The views from the multiple side trails and Cape Final makes for a tremendous payoff for hiking the easy trail. We hung out for a while enjoying the cloud shadows playing on the Canyon below and then made our way back and on over to the North Rim's campground for showers and libations.
