| no partners | | I hadn’t been on Granite Mountain Trail #261 since the Doce fire and as you get near Blair Pass you really see most of the large trees are completely gone. I don’t think they ever caught the idiots that started this one.
I took GMT 261 up to just below the saddle and went up a small ravine and then the slope towards 7295. It was pretty overgrown and I got covered in black from the burned trees. I gave up about 100 feet or less below the summit went back and took the trail to the overlook then back to the trailhead.
Great weather but a shame about the fire. |
