After the flooded Sycamore Creek prevented us from making it to Taylor Cabin, I insisted we check out the roost. Jackie had been sold on a rainy night in a remote cabin with a warm wood burning stove. The roost doesn't quite live up to that, but is a nice dry spot to spend a rainy night with stellar views. I was hoping for snow to lower elevations, but the clouds put on a show instead. It was no skatchkins Christmas, but not a bad spot to turn over the new year.
