| partners | | | Yesterday (7th) was Wyatt's 6th birthday, and he wanted to go camping, so this turned into Reagan & Wyatt's first (mini)backpacking trip. Started from First Water TH, turned north at First Water Creek, then looked for a suitable area to set up the tent. The kids played in the water all afternoon, then sat around the fire for a little while before falling asleep by 7pm--I love how cold water makes little kids tired. They woke up early this morning, and we were on our way out before 8am. Very easy first backpack for the kids--I figure if they have lots of fun the first few times, they'll be more willing to keep going on longer trips. |
