Yes, there's an old road that leads to the summit that most people hike.
But there's ALSO a beautifully constructed and maintained singletrack HIKING TRAIL that leads to the summit by swinging around the north side of the mountain. It's easily visible on satellite photos going back to at least 2010. Before that the resolution isn't clear enough to see if it was there or not. But it's a much nicer hike than the road!
So if you go here ever, take the trail. See my GPS track for help if you need it. There are no signs on site and since most people go the wrong way, that's the most worn route.
The dates don't make sense for this. Guy dies in 1902. Pyramid built 1907. His remains interred there in 1925. So 18 years the pyramid sat empty?
Hikewise, I'd say this Poston guy gives 9L a run for his money.  |
