| no partners | | Easy to follow trail. Previously, the only Daisy Mountain listed trail was a 6.4 mile in out trail. This trek is a 7 mile lollipop loop.
The trail is very easy to follow, with only a couple chances to take a wrong junction.
At the stem loop junction, there's a splintered fence post standing in a cairn. Stay to the right. When you complete the loop, you will be back at the cairn, where you make another right to get back to the trail head.
The first 1.5 has a easy uphill trail. However, at the 1.5 mile mark, you will begin to climb. The climb is steady and relentless with some areas requiring a steep climb, in excess of 40%. By the 3.5 mile mark you will have recorded almost the entire 1500 ft AEG.
When you reach the final summit, there's a flag held up by some rocks and some nice rocks to sit on and have a snack. There also some logs you may want to sign. At this point the view is amazing.
The trip around the loop to the stem is the descent and is very steep, with most of the descent occurring well before the stem.
The footing on the trail is ok, without too many oh &^%%'s, do I have to go that way!
There is one area on the loop that crosses a jeep trail. Watch for the cairn an the far side of the road. Don't take the jeep trail.
