The first segment, Mesquite trail starts with a fairly steep uphill climb. The trail was very easy to follow and footing was good.
The next segment, Willow was also up hill, but a little easier. Made a left turn on the Ford Canyon trail and at about the half mile point we found a great place to sit down on a couple rocks for a rest and snack. The rocks were arranged like a living room without a TV and in the shade.
The last segment was mainly downhill.
The weather was extremely warm, but we had a cooling breeze for most of the hike.
Saw a large number of lizards, but no snakes.
The wildflowers blanketed the hillside and my hiking pants were yellow with pollen. It was truly an amazing site. Worth the hike, just for the flowers. |

Wildflowers Observation Extreme The wildflowers blanketed the hillside and my hiking pants were yellow with pollen. It was truly an amazing site. I posted some pictures, but pictures can't do the beauty justice. |
