| no partners | | | From the American Flag Trail Head the Trail heads north across the desert toward Hwy 77. Fairly level walking going up and down small hills between washes. In Kannally Wash there is a windmill and tank but no water that I recall (didn't need it so I didn't pay much attention), There is a picnic table there though if that helps. The trail continues on toward Highway 77 and the most interesting thing along the trail was the power company working on the power lines. Made for some nice pictures. The next big event was the trail crossing under the bridge at Cherry Valley Wash. From here it is a walk along the Tiger Mine road to where the trail heads north into the desert toward Tucson Wash (about 2 miles). This trail probably doesn't get much use until early spring when the flock of Arizona Trail hikers pass through. I was on this trail a bit early for the Arizona Trail traffic though. |
