Camped here with some friends on the way to Black Canyon. It was a fulfilling experience to connect with the lower part of Burro Creek after exploring near the headwaters in Upper Burro Creek Canyon last month.
My sunrise hike was originally planned to head west down the creek, following the Eagle and Joe's route from a few years ago. But the barb wire fences stopped me and it was too early and I was too tired to mess with going underneath, over, etc. So I picked the path of least resistance and stumbled around the east side of the campground and took some photos.

The USGS gauge for Burro Creek at the US93 Bridge was fluctuating between 0.0 and 0.3, with most measurements over the past 72 hours reading zero. I know there is SOME perennial water here, but I was nervous. I was relieved to arrive and see some decent flow in the creek. I'm not sure what's up with that gauge, but I know USGS will verify the data in 30 day intervals, so it's possible the dataset will be corrected.

	In between medium and light flow. The water looks like it is not moving in the wider sections, but has some nice riffles that are moving quickly through the narrower parts of the canyon.
