This was a very scenic hike in the Superstition Mountains. We got a little of track at first, but quickly found the correct rout. We had planed to do a 7.5 mile loop trail, but then decided to explore more deep in the canyon instead of hiking out and along the rim back to the car. So we ended up doing around 5.5 miles.
There sure was a lot to see, snakes, birds, Gila Monster, beehive, interesting rock formations, Metate boulder..... We wanted to continue on to check out Picket Post Mountain, but it was getting late so we headed back. A goal for next time. |
