Once again the threat of rain yielded solitude. Thankfully Arnett was largely spared from the Telegraph fire. I was surprised that the leaves were still turning. We spent some time at first wash with Apache Tears and then I had the brilliant idea to get one of the vehicles and do a shuttle up near the mine. I would have bailed at the creek crossing at old FR 2403, but a Good Samaritan promised me I’d clear the low-hanging branch (and he spotted me to be sure). Probably wouldn’t repeat the shuttle idea but it was a fun twist! |
