| no partners | | I had been dreaming of visiting Spain for a long time. So finally I booked a trip to Barcelona and decided to go canyoneering as well! I booked a guide in the Sierra de Guara since I wanted to learn more about canyoning with water. I also found a cheap, clean hotel. It only cost me $250 for 3 days of lodging and food!
A Russian couple happened to book for the exact same days and so we were paired together. I didn't complain because it makes having a guide a lot cheaper. We started with part of a dry canyon, Virgin. My new Russian friends had never rappeled before so they got a lesson and then we practiced numerous canyoning techniques. Then we did part of Mascun Canyon which has a decent flow in it. We learned how to properly jump, slide, and dive into wet canyons.
The area is very beautiful! The Limestone cliffs are just spectacular! |
