| partners | | | The kids and I stopped by Lassen before starting our drive for the day. We chose the Chaos Crag trail simply because it was the closest to the park entrance. The full trail is 1.9 miles each way, and we did 1.25 miles before turning around. Easy trail to follow, and pleasant scenery along the part we did hike. A creek was flowing strongly just below the trail for the first 1/3 mile or so, before the trail turned east and headed toward the volcanic features. We turned around before reaching the end due to time constraints, but I would love to visit Lassen NP again and explore more of the longer trails. |
