If a mistake were made, it could generate a bad situation, but I felt it was one of the more fun days in the last few months! It was nice.
This was the right fork (south) of Mary's Fault drainage. It is harder than the north cut. Once in the canyon, nice bedrock and rock scrambles. When the going gets tough, it does remain challenging for awhile, but it offers numerous routes to ascend, and once up and over the most demanding section, you continue to enjoy great staircase falls. We climbed higher than necessary today; our exit was Left Cut over in Arrow North... that can be reached by simply moving south and around below the top cliffs that we added in. Left Cut is an exceptional route to descend... bedrock steps lead you easily down into Arrow North.
Good day. Mary, Ross and Darrel! |
