| no partners | | Yesterday evening at sunset from my backyard I could see a light dusting of snow on top of McDowell Peak and Thompson Peak. (I threw two photos in the set attached to this triplog).
I went mid-afternoon to see what was left of the snow on Thompson Peak, which is visible during most of this hike to the Pass. It was quite nippy at the Pass. Cool to see Four Peaks covered in snow again.
The lichen was striking today in bright fluorescent green and orange.
Didn't start out on Levee/Paradise today - I hate the loose rock on Levee. It's the same distance to go on 104th St trail then around Gateway Loop to connect to Bell Pass trail. I go past the ruins and through the fence to get to Gateway Loop though. Jogged back down to the TH after the steep part. |
