| partners | | This was our second visit to The Citadel. This time was, if possible, even more impressive than the first. Probably because route-finding was much easier and we could focus more on the site than on getting to it. What we especially enjoyed this time was hiking close to the north side of the mesa and looking across-canyon for granaries. We marveled at the climbing abilities folks back then must have had to get to their caches.
This is a must-do for anyone interested in cliff dwellings. The hike is quite easy, although there are three short up/down-climbs where partner-assists come in handy. |
