| no partners | | | Author David Roberts nicknamed this Ancestral Puebloan ruin "Peninsula House" after spending hours attempting to reach the site. The official name is The Citadel. I prefer Peninsula House as it aptly describes the approach. David Roberts writes that the ruin is "the most majestic eyrie I have ever hiked to in Utah". Thus far, I wholeheartedly agree. Reportedly the BLM has considered closing the site (someone(s) knocked down one of the walls years ago), so I will leave it to the persistent hiker to search the web for a route. I only wish I'd taken more photos... |
