| no partners | | Don't let any of the outdated descriptions discourage you from visiting this remarkable spot! Both access roads, 6910 and 70, are signed, well graded and easy to follow. They're a bit washboarded in places, but yesterday I easily drove both averaging 45 - 50 mph in a passenger car. And the falls were roaring, throwing up mist and making rainbows (see the pics)! You definitely want to see it under high flow conditions (like now, following a good wet winter). You can check the conditions from the bridges which cross the Little Colorado at either Leupp or Cameron, or from I-40 just east of Winslow for that matter. Definitely worth the effort! |
