| no partners | | | Patchy snow cover made this an interesting hike. You never knew which step would sink you up to thigh deep in snow. Several of us tried different lines, but often with the same result. It was like a game of footstep roulette. Most of the time we were okay.....then swoosh, right down past the kneecaps. We topped out just below 12,000 feet at Silver Dollar Lake, then returned same way. Great views the whole route. |
