We started from the Weeping Rock Trailhead, but did not go to Weeping Rock. Instead, we hiked the trail to the right. At the next right (but after many switchbacks), we continued on to Hidden Canyon; had we gone left, the trail instead leads to Observation Point. When we hit the end of the well groomed trail (and an "end of trail" sign), my wife and I continued into the canyon. (My daughter was tired and chose to wait for us.) We also continued past a second "end of trail" sign that was much further into the canyon. We turned around at a scramble which looked easy enough to ascend, but I was concerned about reversing the moves for the down-climb.
Great views on this hike, though not much solitude on the day we did it. |
