| partners | | Apache Maid is another that's been on my list for quite some time, but could never bring myself to do the close to 30 mile slog from The Bell / Apache Maid Trails. So why not start up top, take a loop tour of the area and save the actual Apache Maid trail, for another day.
It was an easy drive in on paved Stoneman Lake Rd and only a short bit of dirt to where we parked.
From the Sat. views, I had a list of things I wanted to see/do.
Sample some of the large grassy meadows - Check
Check out T-Bar Ranch - Check
T-Bar Ranch Tour [ youtube video ]
Hike to the top of Apache Maid Mountain - Check
This is a 5 mile RT road walk
Find the Peak Disk - Not Found
Visit the Lookout - Check
Great 360 views!
Apache Maid Tower Tour [ youtube video ]
Visit Apache Maid FS Cabin - Locked Gate, unable to view
Check out Structure found on Sat. view in Rocky Gulch to determine what it was - Found, not sure what it is

Check out what Weir #7 was found on TOPO map. - I did not know what a Weir was, Joe actually told me what a Weir was, Weir was not found. (say that 5 times fast)
Interesting day in a new area for me. Very Scenic.
Thanks for driving Joe...
