| no partners | | I did this hike clockwise. Started a little after 5am from the Wind Cave trailhead. It was a little cloudy and looked like it rained last night. Smelled great. It looked like the rain had moved on to Saguaro Lake area. I was 2.5 miles in before the sun popped through the clouds over the Goldfields. Half a mile later I was getting dumped on. I could see sun in one direction and some blue skies in another buttttt. By the time I hit the saddle I was soaked and trying to find a place to stuff my phone to keep it dry. A runner passed me from behind about then and another runner the opposite way a little later. Only 2 people I saw. The rain let up after a mile or mile and a half. Lots of puddles and even a little running water. I saw one Coyote around the horse staging area. I thought he was solo but in about a 1/8th of a mile I got serenaded by a whole pack of them. I got to rounds . I figure they were rain happy. Nice hike . |
