Starts out as a bit of a bummer. The first 1/2 mile or so literally follows the fence line of a luxury resort. Your views include backyards and swimming pools accompanied by the blissful sounds of weed whackers ringing through the air. However, if you push through you will quickly find yourself treking along the junipers and red rocks, blissfully alone. The end point at the mouth of the canyon is stunning. Stopped for lunch and enjoyed watching hawks coasting over the cliffs.

We took a spur up to the "vortex" on the way home. Unlike the canyon, this area is quite crowded with tourists of various kinds. An older gentleman played us a song on his pan flute and gave us stone hearts "filled with the unconditional love of the universe." By far my most "Sedona" experience!
