I wouldn't normally drive 120 miles to bird a city park, but between Reid and Lakeside they had four lifers waiting for me so I had to go look!
Got 3 of the 4.

Reid Park is really nice! Lakeside Park is a shameful mess of trash, plastic, and fishing line ... a death-trap for birds.
To top off my day, I relocated my first state record Ringed Kingfisher after she hadn't been seen in nearly a month! So happy to see her alive and well, and she even looks more mature now!
Amazing day of birding - happy late birthday to me! - and I still have two more days to enjoy ... planning on Patagonia for lifer Green Kingfisher tonorrow.
