| partners | | With our original plan wiped out by frigid temps and snow all the way to the river, we pulled this one together out of thin air and it turned out to be fantastic. The hike in is a bit long and I'm sure it would drag on a bit in warmer weather, but we were treated to great views across the landscape from the previous days' snowfall.
Once reaching the hoodoos however, this turns into a pretty amazing hike. There aren't a lot of places with this kind of geology, and this one is worth a visit.
On our hike out we passed two groups of hikers, the first hikers we had seen in the four days of New Year's weekend hiking! For 2019 hike #1 this was a real pleasant find. |
